Ingleside Terraces
Located in the historic Ingleside Terraces neighborhood of San Francisco, this architecturally stunning and bright residence represents quality craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout. Situated on a spacious 5,600 square-foot lot with manicured, landscaped gardens, the formal entryway with beautiful tile and a welcoming staircase takes you to the main level. Multiple arches lead to the step-up living room with beautiful parquet hardwood floors, cove ceiling, gas fireplace, and attractive picture windows throughout. The separate formal dining room is wrapped with French windows and features intricate moldings on the walls and ceiling. The spacious, European-inspired eat-in kitchen is a chef’s delight with a commercial-style Viking range, Sub-Zero built-in refrigerator, custom stone and tile accents, and loads of cabinet and counter space. Two nicely appointed bedrooms off the hall overlook the garden. The primary bedroom has a cedar-lined walk-in closet and custom shutters. Both bedrooms share the tastefully renovated full bath with a custom double vanity and stall shower (option to create an en-suite is possible if needed). A convenient guest bath off the hallway completes this level.
A spiral staircase leads to the bright and open lower level with refinished hardwood floors and grand family/media room with floor-to-ceiling sliding doors. The third bedroom has direct access to a full bath. A convenient laundry room with a wet bar, as well as a home office with built-in cabinets and bookcases, completes the space. The family room opens to a south-facing deck offering numerous areas for entertaining. The large immaculately groomed backyard has multiple levels, featuring several patio spaces, planting areas, and various fruit trees. One car garage (+ parking in driveway) and built-in storage cabinets.
Very convenient location to MUNI Metro lines, major freeway access (via Junipero Serra or Ocean Avenue), local shops, cafés and restaurants, and Stonestown Galleria. Home is part of the Ingleside Terraces Homeowners Association.

Ingleside Terraces is another one of those best-of-both-worlds neighborhoods found in the Southwestern area of San Francisco. It was developed around the old Ingleside Racetrack, which once attracted jockeys from all over the country. Urbano Drive marks the old track and is very visible on any map. It's rumored that the home at nearby 280 Byxbee Avenue was once the jockey's clubhouse, and the very 1st automobile race in California was held at the racetrack in 1900. The neighborhood officially opened in 1913, offering Edwardian era San Franciscans a true residential park.
The Ingleside Terraces area offers modern city dwellers a quiet, peaceful, almost suburban atmosphere with easy access to urban amenities. This is a very walkable neighborhood, with Ocean Avenue shopping and services and the Stonestown Galleria Mall within blocks. Muni's K-line streetcar runs right along Ocean Avenue and straight to West Portal with all of its shops and dining to the north, or down to the Glen Park or Balboa Park BART stations and City College to the south. San Francisco State University is also nearby. Adjacent Junipero Serra Boulevard offers commuters easy access to the Peninsula. The Ingleside Terraces Homes Association remains very active, hosting community-building events like garage sales and holiday caroling. Its newsletter, The Sundial, is named after what some suspect to be the world's largest sundial; it was erected by Ingleside Terraces' developer in Entrada Court as a publicity stunt and has been diligently keeping track of the time since 1913.
